1) The most piritol moment in the story Red Badge of Courage is when jim dies. It has to be hard for Henry to deal with his best friends death. Henry's face had an "expression of every agony he had imagined for his friend", This then changes Jim's paradigm and makes him a more mature man.
2) The character i most relate to is Henry. Before he changes, I thought that we were very similiar. We are both young and simple minded. His romanticism in war is similar to mine with sports. When Henry's mom basically calls Henry a fool for joining the war, as my friends call me crazy for "wasting my time" by playing three sports at the same time.
